The most recent addition to the Zoo are the chickens, originally 8 birds purchased to be egg laying machines. However, they now have names and the run of the garden and love nothing more that sitting in the conservatory watching TV with the boys or sniffing around the kitchen especially around the cat food!
All named after songs cluck here to meet the girls... Barbara, Cecilia, Delilah, Gloria, Lola, Maggie, Ruby & Valerie
Our longest standing member of the zoo and Anastasia's favourite toy is Dixie the cat, there nothing she loves more that grabbing big handfuls of fur from him when ever he strays to near.
Dixie's favourite pet, for some reason, is Ratty the dwarf Russian Hamster. How can something so small make so much noise?
Nobby the fish is our giant Cichlid siklid, who has a great character and is always happy to see you... yes I know I said character and fish in the same sentence. His hobbies include gardening and golf...trust me
Back in May Saffy our Black Labrador joined the RAF and is now trained in the art of sniffing out explosives and weapons and living a fabulous new life with her handler and soon to be posted to Baghdad or Afghanistan saving lives, for a breed like a Labrador this is the only life. |
