Poems written for Barney...
Our Beautiful Barney - Written by Suzanne
Barney, Our beautiful baby boy,
A tiny, perfect, bundle of joy
The eighteenth of November you were born,
From then until eternity we will mourn
You had Mummy’s big feet, and Daddy’s cute face,
Sweet little hands and brown hair a trace
The time we had with you was so very short,
But when you came, peace and serenity you brought
We kissed you, cuddled you and held you tight,
A naming and blessing, was a memorable night
Why, oh why did this happen to you,
The doctors unsure, they haven’t a clue
Your soul is in our hearts forever more,
You will never be forgotten, that is for sure
Saying goodbye is so very trying,
Our hearts are aching and we can’t stop crying
With all the other angels you will play,
Until we meet up with you again one day
All our love always Mummy and Daddy x x x x x
Little Baby Son -
Written by Sandie Baker
You had your little baby son. You looked upon his face.
He is now a memory, no other can replace.
He came into this big round world, quiet and asleep
Your heart it was so full of love, your sorrow it was deep.
His spirit it had flown away but he remained with you.
Deep within both of your hearts, dear Martin and dear Sue.
Now think of him at peace and floating on a cloud.
And never be afraid, to speak his name out loud.
For he was a very special boy and part of your family too
And always he’ll be with you, in whatever you may do.
So hold his memory in your hearts and never let it go.
For he will be forever young, and never old will grow
